As we go along we often stumble upon some cool software and resources. Our little blog is a place where we like to share those with you. Occasionally we may brag a little bit about the nifty completed projects or web applications we've developed. Hope you'll enjoy the read!
Thinking about getting a website? Or maybe you are already working on one? You probably know this already, but the last couple of percent of the project usually takes up most of the time. You would be surprised how many websites never go online because of that last stretch. Let's try to get you online so!
This post is not about what to do. It's about what not to do. Basically I want to tell you where you could/should ease off and let things slide until later and get your website online. Let's do this.
We're right in the middle of a transition of platforms - in parts. We're moving from Desktop to Mobile Devices. Both highly powered by Web 2.0, and slightly different users expectations. On Desktop, people were happy with websites, it's on demand, usually we have a decent connection and we rarely miss a dedicated application for most of the things we do there. But when it comes to Mobile, well, we often have limited connection, and most of time we need quick information - no time for typing addresses, page loads. We need an app for (some of) that!
There is currently a generous grant available from Local Enterprise Boards to develop new online resources, or upgrade your existing website. This will be of particular interest to anyone looking to develop their eCommerce offering.
As you'll see from https://www.localenterprise.ie/Galway/Financial-Supports/Trading-Online-Voucher/ , Enterprise Ireland in association with the LEO (local Enterprise Offices) are offering grants of up to €2,500 to help with the cost of improving (or expanding) your online presence.
Whether your site just needs to be updated or you are looking to develop your companies products online, now is the time to get in touch with us and we can help you improve your online business.
Act for Meningitis needed a mobile app to increase meningitis awareness across the country. Proudly donated to the charity by Digilogue, the app is available on Google Play and the App Store.
The app was developed for Act For Meningitis to target Android and iOS phones and tablets. The original idea being to bring quick access information on the symptoms of meningitis along with case stories from those who had lost a loved one to the disease. Digilogue decided to absorb the costs of the development and donate the app to the charity - this is a good cause after all.
